The problem
Sending a contract for signature from monday is the easy part; keeping its status truthfully on the right item is the hard part. Connections drop, a single account isn't enough, and a status that lands on the wrong row stalls the deal. Signature status should sync back to the exact item, reliably.
How it works
Connect your engine
Point it at your own DocuSign (OAuth) or a self-hosted DocuSeal (open-source) instance — and reconnect cleanly if a token expires, instead of silently failing.
Send from the item
Once connected, send a document for signature straight from a monday item; the envelope is tracked against that exact item, not a guess.
Status syncs back
As the envelope moves — sent, viewed, signed — the status updates on the exact item via a verified provider webhook. No manual chasing.
Getting started
Prerequisites
- A monday.com account where you have permission to install apps.
- To send documents for signature: your own DocuSign (OAuth) or a DocuSeal instance (self-hosted or hosted). Status tracking works without one — sending needs a connected provider.
Install
Add e-Sign Status to your account from the monday marketplace.
Connect monday
Open the app and click Connect to authorize it on your monday account (OAuth) so it can sync signing status to the item and send notifications. Until you connect, the view shows a non-blocking Connect banner and never errors.
(Optional) Connect a signing engine
To send for signature, connect DocuSign or a DocuSeal instance in Settings. Signing status (sent, viewed, signed, declined, overdue) then syncs back to the exact item via a signature-verified webhook.

Does status land on the right item?
Yes. Envelopes are mapped to the exact item they were sent from, resolved by a global external-id index, so status never lands on the wrong row.
What's on the free tier?
10 documents a month with item status sync and unlimited users. Paid tiers raise the document cap and add multi-document sends and overdue alerts.
